I am delighted that PCATP has now completed 25 years of its existence. It is a significant milestone for an organization which was cerated in the face of extremely stiff opposition. As the Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners turns 25, I cannot help but look back to all that has been accomplished since its inception.

PCATP started as a Council to give recognition and protection to the professions of architecture and town planning in the country. Today work encompasses a variety of functions. The Council is directly involved in architectural accreditation work in conjunction with the HEC, it has also been approved several times to facilitate design competitions and has been consistently raising funds to improve the financial health of the Council.
